    When you eat more aren't you increasing your metabolism and hence have more ROS since you mentioned that they are a biproduct of metabolism? I think Nigella looks better because she uses the right face cream :P

    Ana I think you're right about more ROS when you eat, but the knock-on effect of being overweight is that you also have an increased amount of peroxisomes at all times. This would mean that at basal levels (i.e. when you've put your fork down) you have an increased ability to sequester ROS.

    Also, I have no doubt Nigella uses the best face cream out there, but diet does play a role in skin health. Soooo I suppose my plan is not to eat well, and find out what cosmetics Ms. Lawson uses :).
