Giving Thanks on Thanksgiving!

TryptophanToday is about much more than spending time on BenchFly!  But we’re honored that in between tryptophan-induced comas, we’re able to share a few minutes of the day with you.  We want to take this opportunity to say a few words, but we’ll make it quick before Uncle Dave starts secretly digging into the fridge and eating all of your leftovers…

For us, this has been a very exciting year and we have much to be thankful for.  First and foremost, thank you for being a part of BenchFly.  Your support, feedback and participation on the site are the reasons we’re still here.  In fact, without them we never would have been able to start!  Life is busy these days, particularly at the bench, so whether you’ve taken time to upload a video, leave a comment or tell a friend, we truly appreciate you making us a part of your days.

We’d also like to share a heartfelt thank you for your time at the bench.  You read that correctly- thank you for your research.  Science can be very difficult and we often make tremendous sacrifices to pursue it.  Regardless of our projects, we all fit into the larger picture of trying to better human knowledge, health and society in some capacity.  Yet, it’s rare that we are explicitly thanked for our contributions, no matter how large or small we may perceive them to be.  Thank you.

It’s been a great year so far and we look forward to sharing many future Thanksgivings with you!

Now go get some more turkey…
