How Smart is Your Phone? iPhone, Droid or Other

Last week, Apple released the iPhone 4 and Verizon executives started referring to this season as “The Summer of Droid.”  It’s pretty clear that the Mac vs. PC battle we talked about last week won’t stop at computers.

As phones evolve, it seems we’re all being pushed into the realm of the smartphone (and the obligatory smartphone “data package” charged by our carriers).  Traditionally, smartphones were distinguished by their ability to handle multiple personal and even corporate email addresses through a user’s email program.  They also enabled users to open and edit documents in programs like Microsoft Office.

But now, even many “low end” phones have solid internet browsers and many features enabling efficient coomunication via social media.  So while many of us may still have an old Nokia or flip phone, the lab environment has seen an increase in the number of cutting-edge phones and their technophile owners.

So we want to know what’s in your purse or pocket – are you one of the nearly two million people who purchased an iPhone 4 in it’s first two days on the market?  Or do you think Droids are the wave of the future?
